Chronicle of the EK Söllingen

Table tennis has been played at EK Söllingen for over 60 years!
From the modest beginnings in the adjoining room of the "Hirsch" inn in 1950, an established table tennis club with four men's teams as well as a youth and student team has now developed.
We're always happy to welcome new members, whether they're a beginner or an advanced player, and we invite any interested table tennis player to take a closer look at our club.

The founding team in 1950

The oak cross as a sign of the evangelical community youth not only adorns the association, but still gives orientation for our claim and appearance. Namely, to give young people a role model for Christian values along with sport.
Franz Schäfer is inextricably linked to this claim and to the entire success story of EK Söllingen. Since it was founded, he has steered the fortunes of the association for 55 years and still works in the background with all his heart.

Mannschaft 2003
After many successful years in the Baden EK and CVJM league, the EK Söllingen finally began to play in the Baden table tennis association in 1970. In 2003, they were promoted to the district league, a milestone!

The 2003 promoted team consisted of:
from left to right: Udo Hahnenkratt, Werner Schäfer, Claus Staiger, Roland Mannshardt, Bernhard Reif, Jens Geiger and Franz Schäfer

And after the game...

...it's off to the famous EK cellar, where camaraderie is nurtured in a relaxed atmosphere!
But the EK cellar wouldn't be possible at all if it wasn't for our Klaus,
who tirelessly takes care of everything!

Thank you Klaus!!
